Marvin Albert Ahrens passed away Sunday, August 22nd, at the age of 98.
Marvin is survived by his children; Larry Ahrens, Frances Tatsch and husband Dennis, Douglas Ahrens and wife Sandra, all of Fredericksburg; son-in-law Jerald Segner of Austin; 10 grandchildren: D'Lynn Brandenberger, Serena Ahrens, Heather Falting, Tiffany Ahrens, Amy Ahrens, Tyler Tatsch, Casey Tatsch, Blake Tatsch, Elizabeth Zarate, Stephanie Segner; 4 great grandchildren: Ashyln Brandenberger, Colton Brandenberger, Eloise Zarate, Diego Zarate; sisters-in-law Myrtle Hohmann, Viola Caraway and Beatrice Grote.
Marvin was born January 22, 1923, in Gillespie County, to Albert and Sarah Rode Ahrens. He married Louise Crenwelge July 9, 1945, in Bethany Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter Marilyn Segner; daughter-in-law, Martha Janie Ahrens and siblings Harold Ahrens, Norman Ahrens and 1 in infancy.
Funeral services for Marvin Ahrens will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 26th, in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Cave Creek, with Rev. Clint Pluenneke officiatng. Graveside services will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
