Lounette B. Smartt, 92, passed away Nov. 25, 1996.

She was born Jan. 26, 1904, in Lascassas, Tenn., and graduated from Middle Tennessee State Teacher's College. She taught school there before moving to Akron in 1929.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Smartt, and is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Jean Smartt of Keystone Heights, Fla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and John Collett, Helen and Dan Smith, Faye and Harry Rea, all of Green; sister, Anne Brandon of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; sister-in-law, Polly Bell of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

At her request, there will be no calling hours. Private services for the family will be conducted by the Rev. Bruce Bequette of the Green United Methodist Church. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. (Schermesser, Suburban South Chapel, 724-9351.)
