Patrick was the son of Peter L and Mary E Irving Brady. He had three brothers one was Bernard, another was Patrick J and the other was Robert "Bob", They also had a sister Katherine "Kattie" Brady Burke. Patrick and Bob Brady Brady owned a ranch together in the Kern River Valley. One day there was and accidental shooting, Patrick shot and killed his brother Bob Brady. He was never charged.
