Preceded in death by her siblings, Rita, Tiny, and Paul.
Barbara earned a Bachelor's Degree from UCLA and a Master's Degree from the University of Nebraska. She worked for Lockheed Aircraft Company during WWII. She married Dugie in the Catholic Mission Church of San Fernando Rey and shortly after moved to Lincoln where she resided throughout her life. Barbara and Dugie had 65 years of marriage. Barbara was a teacher in Lincoln Public Schools: Belmont, Randolph and Eastridge. She was a member and past president of the Lincoln Junior League, and a member of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Fortnightly Club. Her gestures and speech were graceful. Her eyes were alert, sparkling and kind. She asked little for herself, yet was rewarded with a rich life of family and many friends. She was beautiful inside and out.
The Doyle family is grateful for care she received in later years from High Plains and The Knolls memory care staff.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
