He was born October 27th, 1936 in South Bend, IN to the late Theodore and Marie Micinski Prebys. Ronald was one of five brothers who attended IU where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. After college, he began his career in South Bend working at Uniroyal and also owned and operated two pizza restaurants alongside his brothers, Conrad and Bob. The restaurants catered to Notre Dame Students and they were the first restaurant to deliver to the Notre Dame student's dorms. During the course of his career, he worked for Mobil Oil, BASF, and finally retiring from Valspar.
Once retired, poker was his main hobby along with being an avid vegetable gardener and cooking. He had a love for animals and wildlife of all kinds. Nothing made his day more than a good political conversation or a Notre Dame or IU win.
Ron was preceded in death by his 4 brothers, Conrad; Bob; Paul; and Ted and his loving wife Virginia.
He will be greatly missed by his two daughters, Denise and Kathleen Prebys; son-in-law, Matthew Conway, and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held in San Diego, CA at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy in memory of Ronald can be made to the Humane Society or Arrow Fund.
