Thomas MacDougall - A longtime resident of North Bay, Thomas Vernon MacDougall of 107 Nelson Ave, died suddenly Sunday at his home . He was 68.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm Wednesday at the Martyn Chapel by Rev. Don Daniels. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Tuesday after 2 pm. Interment will be in Terrace Lawn Cemetery.
Born in Sault Ste Marie in 1907, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. MacDougall. Mr. MacDougall was an engineer with the CPR in North Bay for 29 years. Prior to his employment with the railway, he worked as a steel worker, miner and a truck driver in Sault Ste. Marie and Prince Rupert BC. Before residing in North Bay, Mr. MacDougall lived in Sault Ste. Marie , Hamilton and Sudbury.
Mr. MacDougall is survived by his wife , the former Irene Ervin, son Keith of Belleville, three daughters Mrs. A. J. McKenna (Lois) of Memphis Tenn. Mrs. Jaqueline Hogan of Toronto, Mrs. J. Gore (Maureen ) of Sudbury, brothers Andrew of Toronto and Harold of Thunder Bay and 11 grandchildren.
