Mildred Ethel Kozelnicky , (Midge) born nee Grammer, January 6, 1925, age 80, of Athens, Georgia, after a long illness, passed into the loving arms of her Savior early afternoon on Monday, May 16, 2005. She was born to mother, Aline Bivens and father, William Jackson Grammer in Augusta, Georgia.

She leaves behind her loving and faithful husband, Emeritus Assistant Professor of Plant Pathology, George M. Kozelnicky. Left behind are five daughters, Sandra Weaver of Smyrna, GA, Barbara Russell, of Conroe, Texas, Susan Hunter of Sandy Springs, GA and Mary (Mickie) Kozelnicky and Karol Buckles, both of Athens, GA. Midge also leaves behind five grandchildren, Whitney Russell, Johnathan Russell, Daniel Ryan Harlick, Katie and Felecia Buckles. One great-grandchild, Kendall Martin of Conroe, Texas survives. Midge has three nieces, all of southern California. They are Stephanie Hull, Susana Dodd and Kathy Rowlund. The Lord deemed it his will during early 2005 to take to Himself a son-in-law, James Hunter and a brother, Aldine Grammar.

Midge retired from the University of Georgia Bookstore after over 25 years of service, in April, 2001, where she was manager of catalog sales. She was quite a versatile lady. Earlier, while helping her husband through University studies, she operated and managed an egg factory near Winterville, Georgia and in 1960 was a census-taker in the State of Indiana. Prior to her bookstore experience, she worked for the Clarke County Board of Education, being one of their first computer operators. Midge and her husband were founding members of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Joint memorial services have been arranged honoring Jim Hunter, Aldine Grammer and Midge Kozelnicky for Sunday, June 5, 2005 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church on Jefferson Road (extended Prince Avenue) across from Athens Country Club with a reception to follow.
