Yoakum—John W. boothe, 87, died Friday at 1:30 pm at his 413 East Gonzales residence.
Born October 9, 1873 near Hochheim, Mr. Boothe had lived in Yoakum 35 years.
A retired farmer and rancher, he was a member of the Yoakum Masonic Lodge 662.
Funeral services for Mr. Boothe are scheduled Sunday at 3 pm from the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bea Bramblitt officiating.
Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery where Masons will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Boothe is survived by four sons, Horace, Gabriel and Elmo, all of Yoakum, Jack of Cuero; a daughter, Mrs. Josephine Musselman of San Antonio; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
