Kelly was a member of the Battiest Assembly of God where he served as a deacon, a Sunday School teacher, and the Sunday School Superintendent. He worked for Deriks/Weyerhaeuser for twenty years and was a member of International Woodmen Of America. He also worked twelve years for McCurtain County as a road grader operator. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting, fishing, cutting wood, and going to the old Clebit camp to reminisce about fond memories. Kelly loved people. He showed himself to be friendly and made it a point to remember names. The most important things to him were his family and serving God. Kelly was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bessie Hamilton; first wife, Susie Hamilton; his second wife, Johnnie Mae Hamilton; daughter, Wanda Hamilton; brothers, Jim Hamilton and Dean Hamilton; and sister, Betty Walker.
He is survived by sons, and daughters in law, James and Cindy Hamilton of Battiest, Oklahoma, Troit and Tanda Stowe of New Boston, Texas, Darrell and Kay Stowe of Rogers, Arkansas, Ted and Kim Stowe of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Kevin and Carla Stowe of Miami, Florida; daughter and son in law, Margaret and Hal Sullivan of Durant, Oklahoma; along with 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the Bethel Cemetery in Bethel, Oklahoma. Arrangements are entrusted to Brumley Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
