The DAR lists two Adam Sherrills:
A. Ancestor #: A204956 b. 1758 and died 1727 in Bledsoe County, Tennessee. His Service Description per the DAR GRS: Service Description:
1) BATTLE OF BOYD'S CREEK 1780; SIGNED WATAUGA PETITION;
2) PAID FOR SERVICES RENDERED, CERT#1287
His son, Cravens, married Mary Ann Branson.
B. Ancestor #: A103409 near the Yadkin River in North Carolina and b.1758 died June 22, 1812 in Russellville, Alabama. This was the son of Samuel Sherrill and, thus, brother to Bonny Kate Sevier.
White wrote: " Sherrill. Adam was born on the Yadkin 1758, and
died in Russellville, Alabama, whither he had gone with
his sister, "Bonny Kate," the widow of Colonel Sevier.
His wife was Mary, a daughter of Cornelius Cormack,
and his son Enos married Mary Abernathy. "
