Jennie Collie Scott (Dickey)

Jennie Collie Scott (Dickey), 79, of 6165 N NC 119, Burlington went home to be with The Lord on August 16, 2021 at her home with her husband by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Wilkerson Funeral Home and the burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery with Pastor Bob Templeton officiating.

Jennie was born in Rockingham County to the late George and Hazel Perkins Collie. She loved gardening and taking care of her yard and flowers. In spite of the tragedy she lived through, Jennie always found a way to have fun and be the life of the party. She adored her grandchildren and lived her life for them. She loved country music and dancing anytime.
Along with her parents, Jennie was also preceded in death by her son, Joseph Creed, Jr.; her husband Harold Scott; her sisters Laura Laws, Violet Bray, Mildred Bray and Georgie Simpson.

Jennie is survived by her husband Al Dickey; daughter-in-law Tennille Creed Branch; grandchildren Kimberlyn Creed Carter and husband Matthew, Abby and Parker Branch; sister, Lena Wall and husband Don; brothers George Collie and wife Brenda and Mike Collie and wife Vicki; and a large extended family.
