Alan passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital following a brief illness on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. He was the only son of William H. and Barbara M. (Galbraith) Fearnhead. Alan was born in Antigonish, NS, on February 11, 1966.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister Susan Knolla (Tim), nephew Jacob Arisz, niece Kate Arisz, Uncle Larry Galbraith (Alice), Aunt Joyce Wyse (Norton) and Aunt Judith Galbraith.

Besides his grandparents, he was predeceased by several aunts and uncles.

Alan has resided with Independence Plus for 30 years. In his youth he attended CAMR classes and Cerebral Palsy school at Hazen White/St. Francis School. He graduated from Millidgeville North High School in 1987 and was briefly employed by Fundy Cable Vision. Alan had a great love of music, particularly Irish toe tapping songs.

The family wishes to acknowledge the dedicated attention and care Alan received from staff of the Emergency Dept and the MICU 4C South, while at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) where visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7 from 2-4 and 6-8. A private burial will take place at a later date at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery where Alan will be interred with his paternal Grandmother, Catherine Fearnhead, to continue their close and loving relationship. It would be appreciated by the family if remembrances were to be made to Independence Plus, 211 Main St, Saint John, NB, E2K 1H7 or to a charity of donor's choice.

The family is most appreciative of all the care, dedication and assistance Alan has received from the staff of Independence Plus over the past 30 years, which allowed him to enjoy such a happy life.
