William Snyder sued for divorce from his wife, Barbara E Snyder, Saturday. In Mr Snyder's testimony, he named different times when his wife had left home for months. She was extremely cruel to his four children, beating them and using profane language. At the time of their marriage, October 31, 1894, Mr Snyder had five children ranging from two to ten years that came to live with them. Four of these were present Saturday to testify for their father. The family lived near Millerstown; the children are Mrs Anna Knull of Dayton, Louis Snyder of Lena, Byron Snyder a schoolteacher of Jackson Twp, and Luther Snyder of St Paris.

Just prior to his 66th birthday on January 21, WJ Snyder of Millerstown, was stricken with an acute pain in his side. At the time he was visiting at the home of his oldest daughter, Mrs CA Argobright near St Paris.
He was rushed to Memorial Hospital in Piqua, where an operation was performed the following morning and he was found to be suffering from cancer. He rallied from the operation and in two weeks was discharged from the hospital. He was taken to the home of his youngest daughter, Mrs CM Knull, 136 Torrence Street, Dayton. The improvement was only temporary and he passed away Saturday morning.
Three sons are two daughters survive, who are: Lewis of Wapakoneta; Byron of Newark, Luther of Urbana, Mrs Knull of Dayton, and Mrs Argobright of St Paris.
