Born Mar. 23, 1911 in Candler, North Carolina, the daugh-ter of Zedock Malachi and Nina Taylor Wilson. She was a graduate of Asheville Teacher's College. Attended summer sessions at St. Louis University and the Sorbonne University, Paris, France. Masters de-gree in Psychology from University of Houston. Charter member of Phi Kappa Delta, and Gamma Omicron chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa. Charter member and past president of the Baytown Business and Professional Women's Club. A past president of the American Association of University of Women of Baytown. Active in the women's auxiliaries of the First Presbyterian Church of Baytown. She taught elementary school 36 years, 31 of which were in Baytown, Texas, where she settled in 1939. Marjorie loved to travel. In later years, she relocated to Utah.
Survived by her sister-in-law, Juliana Wilson of Anchorage, Alaska; niece, Diana W. (Robert) Wing of Centerville; nephew, Dale Wilson of Anchorage, Alaska; grand-nieces and nephews, Emily, Juliana, Ethan, Andrew and Hannah Wing.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2000 at 12 noon at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends may call from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Centerville City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, it was Marjorie's request that remembrances be made to the Scholarship Fund of the Baytown Texas First Presbyterian Church, 1715 Market Street, Baytown, Texas.
