Arzella "Arkie" V. Kantola, 94, of Maryville passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon.
Arkie was born on May 21, 1922 in Des Moines, IA to William E. and Ellen Matilda, nee Williams, Sylvester.
Arkie worked at State Farm, before retirement. She was an active member at Our Lord''s Lutheran Church of Maryville. She belonged to several bridge clubs over the years, and enjoyed reading extensively. She played golf, bowled and traveled considerably. She was a member of the D.A.R. of Edwardsville, Ill.
Along with her husband, Arkie and their two boys moved and lived in eleven different places throughout the years. They operated a horse boarding business and raised beef cattle, in addition to their employment with State Farm.
Services were held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017at Our Lord''s Lutheran Church in Maryville. Arkie was interred August 12, 2021.
