Mary Etta was my Grandmother on my father's side. I have recently found some information about her and I am still looking for more information and pictures.

5/12-October so on the 1930 census Mary Etta Davis was 1 5/12.

Mary Etta Davis was born on October 2, 1928, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, her father, George, was 52, and her mother, Cora, was 32. Mary Etta's siblings were James, Ella, Virginia, Arthur and Harry Davis.

Mary Etta married Paul Revere Shivers in Sebastian, AK on 26 Jan 1946
They were both from Henryetta at the time, (she would have been around 17 years old). They apparently had two sons together.

She married William Calvin "Sonny" Hobbs and they had four children together. William Calvin "Sonny" Hobbs died in an oil tank explosion (See his memorial for details).

After William Hobbs' untimely death in Feb. 1959, Mary Etta reportedly remarried to Paul Shivers (no marriage record found) but a few months later, in the fall of 1959 they divorced again.

She died in 2003 in Ada, Oklahoma, at the age of 75.(Still trying to find her death certificate as Davis, Hobbs, and Shivers do not show up in any of the states that would be common for her to have lived in. Its possible she married again.)
