North Augusta, SC - Albert E. Jenison Sr. 85, husband of Sabri H. Jenison, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on December 3, 2020 at University Hospital. Private Graveside Services will be held in Pineview Memorial Gardens, Rev. John Meyer and Sandy Engelberg officiating.
Al was a loving and devoted husband of 66 years to his wife and a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. He served in the U.S. Army as a Spec 5 in Germany for 2 years and 3 years in the Army Reserves, the textile industry for 33 years and retired from Aiken County PSA.
Al loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Belvedere First Baptist Church where he was a Deacon Emeritus, member of the Golden Age Club, taught the Albert Jenison Sunday School class, a member of the Sons of the Confederacy, Beech Island Agricultural Club and the Augusta Genealogy Society. He enjoyed working in the yard, growing beautiful vegetables in his garden, family trips to the mountains, family fish fries and cooking his famous catfish stew. Most of all, he loved his family and doted on their accomplishments.
Survivors include his wife Sabri H. Jenison; sons, Albert E. "Chip" Jenison Jr. (Brenda), John D. "Jody" Jenison (Dani); grandchildren, Brandi Jenison Rohe (Jon), Brooks Butler Jenison, Reece Ellis Jenison, William Day Jenison; great grandson Barrett Preston Rohe: devoted brother, LTC William D. Jenison, Retired; two nieces, Amy Jenison, Laura Schreiner and a nephew John Uccellini. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Ellis Sprague and Cora Mae Jenison; his sister Dorothy J. Uccellini.
Pallbearers will be Chip Jenison, Jody Jenison, Brooks Jenison, Reece Jenison, Will Jenison and William Donald Jenison.
