SUFFOLK- Aaron Sorrell, 39, died Aug. 4, 2021. A native of Chesapeake, Aaron was an incredible man. He was a devoted husband, always supporting his wife's interests and goals. He was an incredible father - using his time off from work to accompany his sons on scout camping trips with Troop 16 and Pack 89, and playing make-believe with his youngest and only daughter. He was a caring soul, both in his personal life as a friend and father and husband and son, but also professionally as a nurse in the burn trauma unit at Sentara Norfolk General. He was so many things to so many people. He was a gentle giant who made an impact on anyone lucky enough to be in his orbit. And the world is worse without him in it.

Aaron is survived by his wife Heather; daughter, Kylie-Ann Sorrell; two sons, Cru Sorrell and Kagan Sorrell; parents, Victor and Kathryn Sorrell; two brothers, Daniel Sorrell and Nathan Sorrell; and seven nieces and nephews, Jefferie, Jillian, Lillian, James, Gina, Rachel and Charlie.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 10, at 1 PM in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, Suffolk. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 PM. www.SturtevantFH.com
