Friday morning at 5:30 o'clock at his home in Marcy Township occurred the death of Samuel Enfield, one of the oldest residents of Boone County. He was eighty two years of age at the time of his death and had been ill for several weeks. Mr. Enfield came to Boone County in 1860 and settled on a farm in Marcy Township, where he has since made his home. He leaves a wife and four daughters, all of whom are married, to mourn his loss. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, May 26, at 1:30 o'clock from the family residence, Rev. J.C. Crawford of this city conducting the services. The remains were interred in the Ogden cemetery.
