Elizabeth N Mattox Clark, daughter of David Mattox and Sarah (Sally) Hail Mattox, was born in Elbert Co., GA, Dec. 15, 1813. She married Zachariah Harrison Clark Jan. 10, 1828, in Elbert Co., GA – his FIRST wife. Her burial site is currently unknown, but probably the Mattox Family Graveyard where her parents and 11 of her children are buried or Clark Cemetery in Lexington, Oglethorpe Co., GA, where her husband and one adult child are buried.

Zachariah Harrison Clark married Martha Rebecca Glenn Oct. 19, 1854 – his SECOND wife. They had 6 children. He died July 30, 1876 and is buried in Clark Cemetery.

NOTE: Though Find a Grave policy prefers memorials not be added without exact burial data, this memorial has been added to avoid confusion between the two wives and identify the mother of children. That is why an "Unknown Oglethorpe County" cemetery has been added.
