Dawn Grizzle Purvis, 52, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at St. Thomas-West in Nashville, Tennessee, after losing her battle with Covid.
Born Sunday, October 27, 1968 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Don Grizzle and the late Jeanette Wilson Grizzle. Ms. Purvis was a medical assistant for Helping Hands of Jackson, Tennessee.
Graveside services for Ms. Purvis will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Church Grove Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Guinn Hodges.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Kaitlyn Fussell (Jacob) of McKenzie, Tennessee and Sydney Lane (Matthew) of McKenzie, Tennessee; her father, Don Grizzle and his wife, Amanda of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Jeremy Herren (Allison) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Eric Herren (Kelsie) of Clarksville, Tennessee; and she was "Dede" to her granddaughter, Finley Elizabeth Fussell, and her grandson, Bennett Hugh Lane, who will join the family in January.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Wilson Grizzle.
