Mrs. Bowman had been a patient sufferer for months before her death. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. She had been a member of Zion's (Shaffer's) Evangelical and Reformed church and Sunday school for many years, and a loyal and faithful attendant at the services.
The funeral services were held from the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Bowman, with whom she had made her home, on Monday afternoon, October 14, 1940, with all the services at the house, and burial in the new cemetery at Shaffer's church. The funeral text was John
