OBITUARY: Neoma Cauble

ROBY -- Neoma Ann Kolb Cauble, 88, went to be with her Lord October 27th at the Bronte Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Her funeral service will be held at the Roby United Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 30th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kiefer Cauble and Rev. Charlie Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Roby Cemetery, under the direction of Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan.
Neoma Ann Kolb Cauble was born February 5, 1914 in Palestine, Texas to Robert F. and Neomi Ida Kolb. Her parents moved to West Texas at an early age, and she married L.B. Cauble in Hobbs, New Mexico November 11, 1931.
They farmed in Fisher County until 1974. She was a wonderful housewife, mother, and companion to her husband and children. She was a member of the First United Methodist in Roby, Texas for 58 years. Her church was a very important part of her life. She was an ever-present choir member for over 50 years.
Her life was lived in service to her family and others in the community. She loved to bake chocolate pies and hot rolls for friends -- and for needy people. She played the guitar for church at special times, for youth groups, and for programs at Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lois; her parents; and all of her brothers and sisters, Elmo Kolb, Sweetwater, Texas, Luna Kolb, Sweetwater, Texas, Leola Kolb Tucker, Refugio, Texas, Blanche Kolb Farr, Pasadena, Texas, Polly Ida Kolb Helm, Roby, Texas, Alva Kolb, Elkhart, Texas, Earnest Kolb, Comanche, Texas, Roger Kolb (died at 11 years), Rotan, Texas, Eula Mae Ola Campbell Crawford, Rotan, Texas, Mary Ellen Campbell Dillard, Slocum, Texas, Howard Campbell, Sweetwater, Texas, Luther Willibee Campbell, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Eddie Alma Campbell Gammage, Palestine, Texas.
She is survived by a son, Kiefer and Aubry Nell Cauble, Roby, Texas; and a daughter, Carolyn and Sid Long of Robert Lee, Texas; five grandchildren, Lois Ann Colwell (Ron) of Nashville, Tennessee, Revis Leonard (Tommy) of Uvalde, Texas, Richard Long (Connie) of Sterling City, Texas, Scott Long (Shelli) of Sterling City, Texas, and Lin Long (Ernest) of Irving. There are 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials can be made to the Roby United Methodist Church.
