I only knew this person through the eyes of her son, Clefford Vickrey. She was already deceased when I was adopted by the Vickrey's when I was two and they were in their 50s. He told me stories of his life as a little boy growing up in Baxter County, AR along with his sister Pink. I have been to the site of the old homeplace though it was many years later. So I sorta have a visual picture of the stories he told and the people he told about. I know that Virginia Goforth Vickrey installed wonderful values and life lessons into her son and daughter.
