TAYLOR GODFREY,
BAXTER FARMER, DIES.


Baxter Springs, Kan., Nov. 20.— Taylor L. Godfrey, 74 years old, a truck farmer and former owner of seed and produce stores here for many years, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the Columbus city hospital following a heart attack suffered two hours earlier while en route to Columbus from Baxter Springs. Mrs. Godfrey was with him at the time.

He was born in Nevada and had resided here many years. The family residence is at Sixteenth street and Kansas avenue.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Effie Godfrey; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Leverich of Baxter Springs, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Wene chapel by the Rev. Lula Parham. Burial will be in Hillcrest cemetery, near Galena.
