Lila M. (Marshall) Decker, 92, of Oakland, MD, formerly of Manassas, VA, in Nokesville, Prince William Co., VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
Born April 2, 1929, in Nokesville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Howard and Effie Lee (Lewis) Marshall. She was also preceded in death by her husband H. Ray Decker; two sisters, Jane Petersen and Lenora Stewart; two brothers, James Marshall and Thomas Marshall.
Lila was a housewife. She was a member of Crellin Assembly of God and also attended Loch Lynn Church of God and held many positions in the Manassas Assembly of God, as well as a Sunday school teacher and youth leader. Lila was a den mother of Cub Scouts of America and was very community minded.
She is survived by two sons, Lloyd A. Decker and wife, Sharon G.; Bruce L. Decker and wife, Linda R.; one daughter, Donna D. Martin and husband, James; one sister-in-law, Betty F. Marshall; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday, August 16, 2021, at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, MD, 21550, from 10-12pm. Services will be held following visitation in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 p.m. with Reverends Ivan and Cindy Ackerman officiating. Interment will be at White Church Cemetery, Oakland.
