Forcade, Betty J. Saginaw Twp., Michigan. Loving mother, grandmother and friend passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at New Hope Valley Memory Care. Age 89 years. Daughter of the late Clifford and Anna (Southworth) Elwood, Betty was born June 12, 1932 in Sterling, Michigan. She was married to Leo Forcade on June 20, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan. He predeceased her August 21, 1997. Betty was a noon aide for Kolb Elementary for many years and loved children. During the years she worked there, the family often described going out in public with Betty was like being with a celebrity, always hearing shouts of "Miss Betty! Miss Betty!" followed by many hugs from her little fans. Betty loved animals. She loved her dogs, Brooklyn, Chloe and Mas(cat). No matter where she went she always took time to stop and pet any furry friend with four legs. Betty loved traveling, shopping and spending time with her family. Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters and one son, JoAnn (Michelle) Forcade, Bloomington, Illinois; Tami Forcade, Saginaw; Jeff (Lainee) Forcade, Saginaw; two grandsons, Nicolas and Alexander Forcade-Perkins; sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Laskowski, Bay City; Viola Elwood, Sevierville, Tennessee; Nancy Elwood-Walters, Roscommon; many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Harvey, Bill and Meredith Elwood. The family would like to extend a warm thanks to Markie, Carmen, Kaitlyn and Lisa of Cardinal Hospice for all their loving care and always going out of the way to help their family. Also a big thanks to Doug and Cynthia of Visiting Angels of Frankenmuth for many months of wonderful in-home care. Cynthia was a kind friend and loving caregiver to their mom. They would also like to thank Kristy and the staff at New Hope Valley Memory Care for their loving kindness and care of Betty during her stay. The family would also like to thank Dr. Manoj Sharma for his skillful care. Honoring Mrs. Forcade's wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
