Alice May Prugh, age 91, of Humeston, Iowa, the daughter of Von Alvora and Hester Mildred (Jaquis) Prugh, was born on March 22, 1926. She left this life on May 11, 2017, at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa.

Alice grew up and attended school in Corydon, Iowa, graduating in 1945. She took normal training and taught country school for a short time. She worked with her father in the Von Prugh Café in Corydon. Later she worked at the Rexall Drug store and retired from the Corydon State Bank. In 2001, she sold her Corydon home and moved to Humeston, Iowa.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading. She took advantage of the Humeston Public Library and enjoyed all it had to offer. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Betty Milner and Dorothy Crowley; and three nephews, David Milner, Jay Milner and James Crowley. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Kay Milner, Shirley & Larry Sponsler, Virginia & Jerold Sheets, Sandra & Gary Stripe, Linda Boothe, Tim Milner, Bob & Carol Jean Crowley, Bill & Sherrie Crowley, John & Barbara Crowley, Richard & Teresa Crowley, Carol Ann & Jerry Parker, and Steven Crowley and all their families; nieces-in-law, Eileen Milner, Joyce Milner, and Kay Crowley and their families; and other relatives and friends.
