DOW, Robert
May 1, 1946 - December 6, 2020
Robert Dow, beloved husband of Perry-Lynne Clarke, passed away at home in Calgary on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the age of 74 years.
Robert will be lovingly remembered by his children: James Dow of Calgary, John Dow of Rochester, NY, and Eryn Dow of Adelaide; and his three adoring grandchildren: Hannah, Michael, and Lilah.
He was predeceased by his mother Edith Dow (nee Fleming), father Guy Dow, brother Laddie Dow, and sister Barbara McLean (nee Dow).
Robert spent the first half of his life near Champion, AB. Here he went to school and helped on the family farm that would one day become his. He made many good friends and was a conscientious contributor to his community through his involvement in the Freemasons, Lions Club, county Council and the United Church. Robert spent the second half of his life in Calgary, confident the city would offer opportunities to benefit his young family. Those children are long since grown and flown the nest, spread as far as New York to the east and Australia to the west, but always near his heart.
In his golden years, he has reveled in the company of his loving wife Perry. Together they have travelled the world and weathered the wrath of times' relentless march. Robert, you will now be missed. To express condolences, please visit: www.mountainviewmemorial.ca.
