C.F. Brown, 88, of Amarillo, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Ewing of Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church and the Rev. Landrum Medlock of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Mr. Brown was born in Jerico. He married Ellen Veazey in Clarendon on Feb. 26, 1938. They moved to Amarillo in 1942. He worked as a diesel mechanic the majority of his life and was known coast to coast for his work.

After retiring in 1982, C.F. raised quarter horses. He was a charter member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Neely P. Brown and Charles W. Brown and wife, Charlene, all of Amarillo; a grandson, Kyle W. Brown of Amarillo; and a stepgranddaughter, Jacquiline Marler of Dallas.

The family suggests memorials be to Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
