Obituary -
Gibson - The funeral of Hon. George B. Tiffany occurred at his late home in Gibson on Saturday. Mr. Tiffany served two terms in the State Legislature, 1899-01, serving as a colleague of Hon. James W. Adams, of Brooklyn and Hon. George Hill, of Silver Lake. While there, he worked hard for the passage of the Erie Bonus Bill.
When there was a call for volunteers at the time of Lee's invasion of Pennsylvania, young Tiffany responded, joining Co. D., 35th Regiment Pennsylvania Militia and was mustered into service in 1863. He was the son of the late Arunah Tiffany and was born on June 14, 1842, in the township where he died. On Jan. 7, 1874 he was married to Hattie Celinda, daughter of Lafayette and Harriet Payne Wilmarth, natives of this county
