Passed Away at his home at Gravelton, Sunday morning.
The venerable Rev. Joseph Hartsough, passed away at his home in Gravelton, Sunday morning (Jan. 28, 1912) at about 8 o'clock, at the age of 75 yrs., 9 mo., and 2 days old.
He is survived by his wife and seven children: John D., Mrs. Mertie Eisenhour, H. L. Hartsough, Nappanee; Mrs. Elizabeth Sanders, Leesburg; Norman A. Hartsough, Millersburg; Mrs. Mary A. Williard, Syracuse; and Sharon G. Hartsough, South Whitley.
The deceased was a preacher in the faith of the Church of The Brethren (Dunkard Church) and the funeral was held Tuesday forenoon at 10:30 at the church on East Market Street, conducted by Revs. Henry Wysong and Peter Stuckman.
The pall-bearers were the Revs. Daniel Wysong, John R. Miller, David Metzler, Ira Eisenhour, David Anglemyer and Eli Roose.
The interment, under the direction of N. A. Lehman, was made at the Brick Church Cemetery.
