Mr. Franklin Cook (Frank) Lambert of Palmetto passed away July 27, 2021. He was the son of the Dudley James Lambert, Jr. and Jacqueline Cook Lambert. Frank was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Lambert and is survived by his wife, Karen Grubbs Lambert of Palmetto; sons, John Lambert and his wife Melissa of Tyrone; Philip Lambert of Auburn, AL; brother, Dudley Lambert, III and his wife Guywn of Tyrone; grandchildren, Will Lambert, Zachary Lambert and adopted son, Ghaly Jules.
Frank was retired from The Georgia Power Company after 23 years of service and was also retired from the Georgia Institute of Technology after 22 years of service where he served as Principal Research Engineer at the National Electric Energy Testing Research and Applications Center (NEETRAC). He was currently serving as President of the Institute of Electrical, Electronics and Engineers (Power and Energy Society) which provided him the opportunity to travel the world over. During his travels with his church, on mission trips, Frank developed a passion for the people and country of Haiti.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 at 2 o'clock at Palmetto Baptist Church with Rev. Sammy Orr, Rev. Eric Patterson and Rev. Stan Buckley officiating. Interment to follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www.parrottfuneralhome.com.
