QUITMAN — Services for Thomas Harvey Dearman will be held today at 2 p.m. at Energy Church with the Revs. Tim Adams and Ronnie Boles officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dearman, 89, of Energy, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He served as supervisor of Beat Four in Clarke County for 12 years and a was a lifelong member of Energy Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Doree Irby and her husband, Billy, Nora Lee Irby, Hilda Davidson and her husband, Robert, all of Energy; seven grandchildren, Bruce, Tommy, Jerry and Craig Irby, Audrey Clearman, Suzanne Raley and Rodney Davidson; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie May Davidson and Dot Smith; four brothers, Cleo, Leroy, Clyde, all of Energy, and Joseph of Alexandria, La.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Moffett Dearman; parents, Arthur and May Dearman; sister, Velma Thornhill; brothers, Clarence and Brady Dearman.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Bruce, Tommy, Craig and Jerry Irby, Rodney Davidson and his grandsons-in-law, Billy Clearman and Scott Raley.
