Mr. Junior David Holt, age 89 of Stuart, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021, at his home.
He was born in Patrick County on August 2, 1931, to the late David Crockett Holt and Cora Lawson Holt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Essie Wood, Eva Collins, Nellie Holt; Irene Rigney; and three brothers, Charles Holt, Paul Holt, and Lester Holt.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 62 years, Mozelle Doss Holt of the home; one daughter, Lynn, and fiancé, Terry Glenn of Stuart; two grandchildren, Latisha Blue and wife, Jessica, Anthony Penn; three great-grandchildren, Cortez Patton Penn, Emory Blue, Mayana Penn; one sister and a brother-in-law, Frances and Allen Koger of Patrick Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elders Gary Lowe and Jerry Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. His body will lie in state on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 2 PM to 5 PM.
