Lula Knoll, 68, of Oakland City, formerly of Huntingburg, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born March 11, 1953 in Jasper to the late, LeRoy Rasche and Charlotte (Coomer) Rasche. She married Thomas D. Knoll and they were blessed with almost 40 years together before his passing in 2014. Lula graduated with a bachelor's degree and worked as a teacher's aide for several years at Southwest Dubois County School. Lula taught baton twirling in her spare time in Huntingburg and in Oakland City and was a featured twirler at Purdue University. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg and loved reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandkids and her great-grandkids. She enjoyed so much attending their sporting events. She was dearly loved and will be missed.

Lula is survived by her children, Charles Donald Knoll (Carla) of Oakland City, Barb Knoll (Brian Mox) of Delaware, OH, and Barnaby Knoll (Marysia) of Polland; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Virgil Rasche (Debbie).

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Interment will follow at Ashby Cemetery in Winslow.
