It is with great sadness that the family of Carman announces his sudden passing on March 27, 2020 at the age of 82. He lived a long, productive life and his kindness, generosity and love of his family was his greatest gift and ours. Carman was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Alice in 2017, his parents, William and Lucy, his sisters, Byllie and Shelby and his nephew Kevin. Dad will be missed by his children, Karen ( Lorne), Sharon, Mary (Dale) and Micheal, his grandchildren, Kimberly, Wendy, Matthew (Carrie), Hayley (Matt) and Atlas, his great –grandchildren, Evy and Jimmy, his nephew Terry and numerous friends and relatives. Dad will be remembered for his smile, his work ethic, his generosity, his common sense approach to life's problems and most of all, for the fact that he was his happiest when he was teasing someone. And he did that a lot!!! We have so many happy, loving memories that we will cherish. Dad's career took him many places; from helping on the family homestead in the Timeau area, to driving heavy duty equipment working on the pipelines in the foothills. He finally settled in Bartrhead working for the Town of Barrhead for over thirty years. He retired in 1990 while holding the position of the Superintendent of the Public Works Department. A job he excelled at and was very proud of. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
