Obituary for Dale Langford
Dale Edward Langford, 92, of Troy, Iowa passed away on July 21, 2021 at the Bloomfield Care Center. He was born on March 17, 1929 in Van Buren County, Iowa to Arch Edward and Bessie Miller Langford. Dale graduated from Troy High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. On April 28, 1956, he married Betty Schlotter in Bloomfield. Betty passed away on February 27, 2014.

Dale was a machinist at Dexter in Fairfield and also a hobby farmer. He raised 10-15 head of cattle a year and took care of his small acreage. He loved to mow his yard and took great pride in how it looked. He enjoyed going on evening rides with Betty for ice cream, swinging on the front porch with Betty, and tinkering around on stuff in the barn. Family was very important to him and spending time with family was something he always cherished.

He was a loving son and brother, loyal friend and soldier, dedicated father and husband. His actions have forged the lives of so many and he will always be loved, respected, and missed dearly.

He is survived by four children, Kerri Daniels of Newton, Iowa, Randy (Benna) Langford of Troy, Kim (Tony) Gragg of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Todd (Terri) Langford of Phoenix, Arizona; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Enid Roberts of Freemont, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son-in-law, Roger Daniels; and a brother, Dennis Langford.

Dale's wish was to be cremated. Services are pending at this time. Burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date at the Troy Cemetery.
