FORT PIERCE - Ben Lovellette, 82, of Fort Pierce died Sunday, March 25, 2001, in Fort Pierce.

A native of Keensburg, Ill., he lived in Fort Pierce for 25 years. He moved here from Vincennes, Ind.

He was a truck driver.

He served in the Army during World War II. He was wounded in France and received the Purple Heart.

He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Eagles.

Survivors include six daughters, Sharon Blakley of Vincennes, Linda Cunningham of Vincennes, Karen McKay of Vero Beach, Janet Margerum of Fort Pierce, Jane Quinn of Fort Pierce and Lisa Tewell of Fort Pierce; a son, Steve Lovellette of Fort Smith, Ark.; a brother, Raymond Lovellette of Miami; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. today at Haisley-Hobbs Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.

A service will be at 11 a.m. today at White City Cemetery. The Rev. Craig Bridgers will officiate.
