HARWINTON
Russell R. Anderson, 82, of Harwinton, died Friday, Jan. 14, at Wolcott Hall. He was the husband of Mary (Spiegelhalter) Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was born July 6, 1923, in Collinsville, son of the late Fritz and Alma (Isaacson) Anderson. He worked as a plumber for the Torrington Co. for 15 years. He was a member of the Lost Chord Club for 37 years, a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge 372 and a member of the American Legion Post 38 for 50 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, he leaves a son, Russell R. Anderson Jr. of Torrington; a daughter, Joyce Formeister of Glastonbury; a grandson; and a granddaughter.
Arrangements: Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements by The Driscoll Mortuary, 138 Migeon Ave., Torrington.
