Of Clinton, Missouri passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, July 21, 2021 at her daughter's home. She was born November 24, 1937 in Saline County, Mo., the daughter of William R. Smith and Lela C. (Thomas) Smith.
She married A.J. Boillot on January 7, 1956. He died tragically in an automobile accident 5 months later on June 10, 1956. She later married Ken Brown.
Lois was employed as bookkeeper with the Clay Mead Furniture Store in Marshall, Mo., for many years. Following retirement from the furniture store she worked for the Lighthouse Thrift Store. She was a member of Northeast Baptist Church in Clinton, and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall, Mo., where she enjoyed singing in the church choir.
Surviving are two sons, Jeff Brown and wife Reta, Spokane, Mo., and Keith Brown and wife Teresa, Marshall, Mo.; two daughters, Renee Evans and husband Steve, Tennessee, and Paige McDaniel and husband Scott, Clinton, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Erica Gray and husband Jody, Sam McDaniel and wife Trisha, William McDaniel and wife Meagan, Jackson McDaniel, Willem Evans, Andrew Evans, Libby Evans and Lydia Evans; seven great-grandchildren, Arianna Gunderson, Avril Gunderson, Harper Gray, Rebbecca Gordon, LaKota Gordon, June McDaniel and J.T. McDaniel; one brother, William J. Smith, state of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Minnie Lou Biebel in 2002; and one brother, John R. Smith in 2020.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the Northeast Baptist Church. Reverend Joey Conway will officiate. Burial at a later date in Hazel Grove Cemetery in Herndon, Mo.
