Pat was a charter member of East Gadsden Church of Christ and current member of Glencoe Church of Christ. A talented seamstress, Pat sewed tirelessly for her family. For over twenty years, she loved sharing her gift of art by teaching painting classes. She had a deep love for animals, having many rescued pets over the years, including Betsy who has been her fur companion for eleven years. Pat especially loved spending time with her extended family taking many memorable trips and having grandchildren spend weeks with her in the summers.
Pat is preceded in death by many loved ones she has gone to join: parents, Ira and Elizabeth; her husband, Popeye; sister, Carol Golden; brother, Ira Lasseter Jr.; and son-in-law, Johnny Sewell.
She is survived by children, Terry Sewell, David (Debbie) Brooks, Ray (Ruth) Brooks and Amy (Danny) Wagnon, sister, Cheryl Jackson, and eleven
grandchildren: Joshua (Caroline) Sewell, Matthew (Emily) Sewell, John Joseph Sewell, Zachary (Rachel) Sewell, Shannon Alford, Susan (Jacob) Dunston, Benjamin Brooks, Daniel Brooks, Luke (Megan) Brooks, James Brooks and Clay Wagnon. Great grandchildren are Mia, Charlie, Faith, Chaselynne, Cash, Elsa, Reagan, Carter, Milton and Daniel Sewell, Betty Claire Dunston, Jackson, Hunter and Bastion Brooks and sister's in-law Sara Lu Mullinax and Marva Jo Bullock.
Services will be at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home Friday, July 23. Minister Brooks Boyd will preside over the funeral and son Ray Brooks will provide some words. Congregational singing will be led by Glencoe Church of Christ. Pallbearers are grandsons Matthew Sewell, Luke Brooks, James Brooks and members of the Glencoe Church of Christ. Visitation at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Funeral Home Friday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM with funeral to follow at the funeral home. The family asks that friends and family wear masks to protect those who are at high risk.
In lieu of flowers donations to Glencoe Animal Shelter would be appreciated as Patsy would love knowing more rescue animals can continue to find loving homes.
