According to her obituary in the Amarillo Daily News, Oct. 13, 2000, Edna died at age 83 on Oct. 12th in Mineral Wells, TX. Edna's funeral services were at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Orsini officiating. Burial was in Hannibal Cemetery at Hannibal Community.
Edna was born in McClain, Trinity County, TX. She married Mount Vernon Uptergrove. Edna and Mount had the following children: Jenny Lee, Themlma Arlene, Wilma Darlene, and Vernon Elrain. Mount and Edna divorced. Mount died in 1977.
Edna married Grady Harding in 1953 at Carlsbad, N.M. She moved to the Exray Community 15 years ago from Pecos. Edna was a member of the Methodist Church.
A daughter (Thelma Arlene Uptergrove) preceded Edna in death, dying in 1943 as a toddler.
