Lorena Villemarette, age 84, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Lorena was a strong willed, hardworking wife and mother. She wore many hats in her life, but she was the dedicated support system of our family. Her kids grew up knowing tough love, but never went without what they needed. She would sew her children's clothes when they were younger. Family was always first. She was always there for grandchildren's events or often cooking for family gatherings. And boy, she could cook! She made the best homemade bread, fig preserves, and even garfish balls. Her love of flowers could be seen around her home with gorgeous flower beds. Hearing her laughter and speaking Cajun French will be dearly missed. Lorena had a friendly personality and knew many people. Lorena was a loving caregiver to many throughout her years. Her motherly love will be missed and cherished forever.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Dale Villemarette (Vicky) of Alexandria; daughters, Charla Logan (Bill) of Lafayette, Terry Armand (Ricky) of Mansura, Mona Williford (Aaron) of Pineville, and Ashly Brouillette (Blaine) of Mansura; sisters, Doris Johnson of Mansura, Laura Richard of Hessmer, & Joanne Guillot of Marksville; her niece, Jackie V. Cloud whom was like a daughter to her. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Taylor, Parker, Paige, Payton, Colby, Amanda, Trista, Derek, Kyle, Alex, Aiden, and Bryson, and ten great-grandchildren.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Colby Armand, Derek Chesne, Parker Logan, Payton Logan, Clint Daigrepont, Madison Guillot, & Blayne Richard.
