Dolores Ann "Snook" "Sugie" Malicoat, 81, Coatesville, Indiana passed from this world into the next on July 18, 2021 surrounded by loved ones, and greeted by long-missed loved ones on the other side.

She was born July 1, 1940 in Lebanon, Indiana to Mary Katherine Vansickle, who preceded her in death, and whom she had missed for so very long. Also preceding her in death was her father, Harrison Gene Lewis.

She was the beloved "bride" of Richard E. Malicoat, (Coatesville) who survives. High school sweethearts who were reunited 22 years later by chance encounter. They were united in marriage on January 13, 1984 in Martinsville, Indiana. January 13 was chosen because it's also Richard's birthday, thus making sure he never forgot their anniversary.

Snook grew up in North Salem, Indiana the beloved niece of numerous aunts and uncles. It was her Uncle Bob who nicknamed her Snook. Her house was one of the first houses in North Salem to purchase a TV! She graduated North Salem Highschool in 1958 as a charter member of the yearbook and librarian of the chorus. Snook was predicted to have an enormous salon, where everyone would know her motto: "GIRLS!! Keep yer hair natural color-- 'N the fellows Will naturally foller." She did not excel in Home Ec classes, she attributed this to her mother not doing the work for her.

She worked for American States Insurance for many years, and retired in 1982. She later worked at Fundex Toy Company in Plainfield for 10 years. This led to teaching her grandkids how to play Phase 10 (cards and dice) and Mancala.

Snook loved Holiday gatherings with her family. Her cheeseballs, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese are legendary. She loved her Bunco nights, telling Richard to turn down the TV, and vacations. She also loved the Casino. She joked that if the casinos had been in Biloxi when she was living there, she'd have ended up pawning everything she owned.

Snook was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to so very many. She will be missed every second of everyday for the rest of their lives.

Besides Richard, those who will forever miss her include:

Her children- Scott Walton of Brazil, Kaye Lehr (available) of Coatesville, Tim (Trisa) Walton of Mooresville, Mike (Lisa) Malicoat of Coatesville, Steve (Paula) Malicoat of Mississippi, Danny (Kay) Malicoat of Mississippi, Cindy (Jerry) Beck of Pennsylvania, and Rick (Josh) Malicoat of Pennsylvania.

Sister of her heart, cousin by blood- Beverly Pridgen

Her grandchildren- Desirae Walton, Megan Thompson, Leah Truxel, Brittany Walton, Olivia Hadley, and Brandon Lehr.

6 bonus grandchildren, and 25 Great grandchildren. Bentley, Landon, and Liam most especially.

Brother- Richard "Boy" Lewis, Sisters- Harriet Brewer and Dixie Vankirk

Besides her parents, Snook was preceded in death by son, John Malicoat, and bonus granddaughter, Stephanie Lehr.

Her family takes comfort in the thought that she passed on Vansickle Reunion Day, and that her mom, who she longed to see, was waiting with open arms along with her aunts and uncles to welcome her to a true Vansickle reunion.

Until We Meet Again..

And Always Remember, "Bad girls have more fun!!"
