Sharon Garriott Mora


Sharon "Shea" Garriott Mora, of Ponca City, died Monday, April 28, 2014, at Select Hospital in Oklahoma City.

She was born May 29, 1944, the daughter of Ancil Lee Garriott and Amelia "Kate" Garriott Edwards.

She grew up in Kay County on the Chikaskia River west of Ponca City, later moving to the Bois D'arc area and then to Osage County.

She was employed at Acme Foundry in Blackwell where she was a crane operator and later was employed at Titus ASC. The last 13 years she was employed for Blue Moon Restaurant.

She loved to cook especially Christmas meals and goodies. She enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with friends, family and her dog Cocoa.

She is survived by her son, Richard Anaya, of Fredonia, Kan.; two granddaughters, one grandson and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lee and Leo Garriott and one aunt.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the chapel in the IOOF Cemetery, Ponca City.
