Bill loved the desert an outdoors. He grew up in Yuma and attended Yuma High School, graduating in 1950. He enjoyed sports and was great athlete. He enjoyed hunting and camping with his family and playing golf with his wife Mary.
Crawford or Bill as he was called enjoyed a full life. He practiced family medicine like his father before him after graduating from the University of Tennessee in 1961. He set up his practice in the Sant Drug Store office complex and practiced family medicine for over 35 years. He became an ordained pastor later in his career and enjoyed teaching the Bible while bringing many to the Lord through his preaching. He was a good ole Family Doctor who spent quality time with his patients and friends treating the body and soul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Columbus Cain M.D. and Gladys Cain, sister Sue Ellen Wiere and stepdaughter Lori Ahuero.
He leaves behind his wife of 51 years Mary Helen, his sons Dean and (Ann), Scot, Valan, his stepsons George, Patrick and his daughter Caprice and (Robert) Toporowski. Bill had 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
John 14:2 "In my Father's house are many mansions…I go to prepare a place for you. God is great!"
A family celebration of Bill's life and memorial will be held at a later date in Yuma. Special thanks go to the staff of Hospice Compassus, 511 S. Mud Springs, Payson, AZ 85541.
