FRIEND. -- On Morgan Prairie, July 31, Sadie, infant daughter of Frank and Emma Friend, aged 5 weeks and 4 days.
IN MEMORY.
Taken was she at dawn of day,
Tender, innocent, and mild;
When she heard the voice of the Savior say,
"Come dwell with me, my child."
To frail was she to bear the ills
That in this world abound;
Jesus then, his word fulfills,
And "takes her in his arms."
Now she is safe and free from pain,
No sorrow shall she have;
Upon her brow must o'er remain
The crown of Jesus' love.
Sadie has gone from the earth away
To join the angel throng;
We can meet her in the realms of day
And sing the "New-made song."
