Sister Mary Therese Eileen Cashman, BVM, 86, of Marian Hall, 1050 Carmel Drive, died at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at Marian Hall.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Marian Hall Chapel, with burial in the Mount Carmel Motherhouse Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. The Leonard Funeral Home & Crematorium, 2595 Rockdale Road, is in charge of arrangements.
Sister Mary Therese Eileen was an elementary and secondary teacher in Tucson, Ariz.; Boulder, Colo.; Burlington, Dubuque, Des Moines, Sioux City and Waterloo, Iowa; Chicago, Lincoln and Mundelein, Ill.; and Butte, Mt.
She was born on Jan. 16, 1914, in Chicago, daughter of James Cashman and Elizabeth O'Connor.
She made her first profession of religious vows on Aug. 15, 1934 and her final profession on Aug. 15, 1940.
Surviving are nieces and nephews; and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with whom she shared life for 68 years.
Memorials may be given to the Sisters of Charity BVM Retirement Fund.
