"Roy O. Roewert, 86, of Libertyville, Illinois died suddenly Monday, October 5, 1987 at his home.
He was born 5 May 1901 in Janesville, Wisconsin and had been a Libertyville resident the past 66 years. he was a carpenter and general contractor, having build many custom homes in Libertyville during the 1940s and 1950s. He was a member of the Contractor's Union Local No. 250 of Lake County and a member of the Hamhock's Club in Libertyville.
Survivors include 1 daughter Joyce (William) Mincks of Libertyville, Illinois; 1 son, Kenneth (Loretta) Roewert of Ontario, Oregon; 10 grandchildren, 15 great gradchildren; 1 sister, Cora Rowald of Evansville Wisconsin and his very dear friend, Chris Clements of Libertyville. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Verda, in 1963 and by his second wife, Cora, in 1981 and also by a son, Richard, a granddaughter, Sherre Miller, and by 2 brothers, Charles and Louis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, October 8, 1987 at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home 120 West Park Avenue, Libertyville. Interment will follow at North Shore Garden of Memories in North Chicago, Illinois. Friends of the family may call from 5 to 9 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Paramedic Unit of the Libertyville Fire Department in his memory."
